How to use Social Image Resizer
- Select an image and choose a preset or custom width and height.
- Use a fit option to preserve the whole picture, or a fill option to cover the frame with a crop.
- Check the subject and edges in the preview, then download your resized image.
One photograph, two layouts
A wide desk photograph can become a square thumbnail with a crop. For a tall layout where every object matters, fit the complete photograph inside the frame and use the background to fill the remaining space.
Ratios are a starting point
A 1:1 frame is square; 4:5 and 9:16 are portrait; 16:9 is landscape. These presets describe geometry, not guaranteed publishing requirements. Check the destination's current instructions and its final upload preview.
Protect the focal point
A centered crop can remove a face, product label, or caption near an edge. When the preview loses something important, choose fit, use another source image, or prepare a deliberate crop in an editor before resizing.
Good to know
Will enlarging a small image add detail?
No. A larger pixel grid does not recover details absent from the original. Start with a sufficiently large source whenever possible.
Are files sent to the server?
No. The selected image is processed on your device. Very large images may still require significant browser memory.
